Moving On...Again

So, with all the controversy here at Substack, it looks like I need yet another home for my newsletter & updates.

I moved here at the beginning of 2023 and I loved the discoverability. I found new readers and met new friends. It gave me a hub to post my updates without having to spend so much time on social media (which easily eats into my writing time). But I can’t stay somewhere that hate speech is allowed to foster (and where the owners of the site earn money from those posts).

So…what to do? There are almost too many options, but I thought I’d ask you…where are you more likely to read my posts?

My newsletter is currently quarterly, which I used to send via MailChimp before I moved it here. I can set up a blog post subscription where you’d continue to receive my weekly Notes From The Writing Nook updates & announcements (I have a website - I might as well use it!). I can also cross-post those to my Patreon and make those posts free for everyone.

I’m going to make a concerted effort to minimize my social media use in the new year, so I want to find an easy solution to stay in touch with everyone. I’d love to hear your thoughts! If you have any other suggestions, feel free to let me know in the comments!
